Background
Mr. Shahid Khan is a highly experienced consultant spinal surgeon with over a decade of specialist practice. His academic journey began with an honours degree in Law from Cambridge University, followed by an honours degree in Medicine from Oxford University. After completing his junior doctor posts, he excelled in surgical training through the Bristol trauma and orthopaedic programme, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1998 and achieving his specialist qualification FRCS (Tr & Orth) in 2004. He undertook three additional years of extensive specialist spinal surgery fellowships in Birmingham and Cardiff, and completed advanced training in the United States at spinal deformity centers in San Diego and Miami. Since 2007, he has served as a full-time consultant spinal surgeon at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital.
