Tired All Time Blood Screening

Tiredness means having less energy than usual, and you may feel exhausted, either mentally, physically, or both. Although tiredness is a normal part of life, if it persists, it may suggest a medical problem.
Our test offers a comprehensive check of the main causes of fatigue so that you can seek treatment and get your energy back. We cover many of the main causes of fatigue including having an underactive thyroid, vitamin deficiencies, and anaemia (low iron). Low blood iron is the most common nutrient-related ailment in the UK. Check to see if you’re suffering from low iron today.

What we test
Iron is important for women due to menstrual blood loss. Your body needs iron to make a protein in red blood cells and for growth & development including some hormones. Low iron can make you feel tired and weak. You skin might be paler and you’ll have dry or damaged skin and hair.
Transferrin saturation
Transferrin saturation (TS) is a measure of how well iron is binding to your blood. If this count is low, you may feel check pain, headache, cold hands and feed, weakness, pale skin, brittle names and extreme tiredness.
Ferritin is a protein that contains iron. If you have a low count, you might not be absorbing iron from your food or you might have anaemia – a red blood cell condition where they’re just not enough of them.
Thyroid function
A thyroid test helps to determine if you’re burning calories efficiently, maintaining energy levels, keeping a steady weight, and sleeping well. 1 in 7 people live with a thyroid condition and don’t know it.
Vitamin D
Check to see if your body has enough vitamin D. Vitamin D is important for healthy, strong bones. It also can impact your hair, skin and sleep quality.
Full blood count with 5-part Diff
A white blood cell count looks for conditions such as infection, inflammation, allergies, and leukaemia. A low white blood cell count can mean your body is not making enough white blood cells and can increase your risk of getting infections.
