Mr Arbuthnot is a specialist knee surgeon who qualified from the University of Liverpool in 1997. His orthopaedic training was on the higher specialist training schemes of Birmingham and Warwick (based at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital and then University Hospitals Coventry and Warwick). He then went on to specialist fellowship training in Melbourne, Oxford and Exeter. He was appointed to the post of NHS consultant surgeon at Heart of England NHS Trust in 2008
His elective work is in all aspects of knee surgery and sports injuries and he has developed his interest in knee joint preservation treatments.
In his spare time he now enjoys cycling (having retired from rugby and football) and spending time with his family.
